Even though the English kings of the New Romantics Duran Duran have been active in the pop business for three decades, it is undeniable that the ensemble was enjoying one of the peaks of it's career during the 80's.The height of their popularity came in 1985 when the band was requested to write the theme song for the Bond movie A View To A Kill. The result: The only ever 007 song that was a number one hit in the US charts. However, even more impressive than numbers (70 Million sold albums) is the way they succeeded this success: their unique ability to connect pop music, arts and fashion with matchless stylistic confidence and trust on their own flair. This enabled the band boundless, generation spanning and lasting popularity. Its thanks to them that video clips became an important tool for bands to present themselves and their profile because beforehand it was simply a nice marketing gimmick. Their impact and influence was to such an enormous extent that the Rolling Stone magazine named the Britons - in the style of the Beatles with the nickname Fab Five. The DVD documents the band as funky Glam Rock combo as well as their transformation into a high-tech Pop band with highly commercial demand. All this can be seen in the legendary Tokyo Dome.
